SIAM-MPE20 Conference, Virtual Mini-Symposium on "Energy Transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean"

This virtual minisyposium, organized by TRR researchers, is part of the virtual 2020 SIAM Mathematics of Planet Earth conference. It covers current trends in mathematical geophysical fluid dynamics, with a particular focus on the energetic consistency of ocean and atmosphere models with the aim to further reduce biases and to increase the skill of those models.

The session talks have been pre-recorded in early June and can be found via the link in the title of the talks; it is encouraged to view the talks ahead of time.

During the session, each speaker will give a 5-minute summary of their talk. This will be followed by an open discussion with the speakers on their work, on the broader context, and on new developments.
